Welcome to Asthma-Cases.com.

Asthma remains an illness that leads to death, hospitalization, and poor quality of life, and saps patient productivity at school and work. Knowledge about how to assess and control asthma has increased in recent years. Early, accurate diagnosis and application of the most recent research findings to patient care should improve our patients’ ability to be active.

This series of educational activities summarizes the latest pathophysiologic concepts of asthma, as well as the assessment and management recommendations of the latest update to the Expert Panel Report (EPR-3) commissioned by the National Asthma Education and Prevention Program. EPR-3 and other studies discussed in these activities summarize the latest data about medications to manage asthma. Cases from the faculty illustrate how to apply this information to adults, an adolescent, and a toddler. We hope that these activities help you incorporate the current concepts in asthma care into your practice.
